About Me

62f4a726-94d3-4c02-94af-64f4c2106eb4Warm greetings and welcome to my blog!

My name is Andrew and I started this blog while living temporarily in the Sonoran Desert some years ago. At the time, I was at the initial stages of  recovering from a unique and disabling illness. I am a New Englander by birth and by temperament but most of my thoughts and ideas shared here are inspired by my time in the desert Southwest.

In this blog, I write about my personal experiences in the desert, my understanding of faith, my family history, and general stories of living in America. I like to think I am writing or speaking to a small group of friends and sharing with you my experiences of being a human person in the modern world. I very much appreciate the dialogue and exchange of blog writing and I encourage you to leave a note after reading my writing so I can respond to you.

All of the themes were originally written from the perspective of a soul temporarily living in the southwest desert, with an eye still focused on New England, a heart animated by faith. Today, I am not living in the desert but I like the name of the blog so it shall remain.

I hope you enjoy my blog!

Thanks for reading!

Andrew

  1. hello again andrew

I am greatly comforted and and inspired by your musings ..you bring the nature to my minds eye and i can smellll it and see it by your writings. thankyou for being you and that you share your journey. I have felt Gods prescence while immersing myself in the writings. And reminded of a gentle peace.

  2. Dear brother thank you for sharing. Obviously the digital dessert is much more harmful to my soul, than the dessert you and our desert father’s spoke of. A cloud of unknown or the cloud of unknown, unknowingly led me to Eucharistic adoration, which me to the writings of our desert father’s.

    Respectfully

    Frank
